GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The Inspectorate of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunications, hereafter referred to as TEATT hereby announces the commencement of the annual inspection of BUS, TAXI, G and T public transportation motor vehicles per December 19, 2016.

This inspection will be done on the Soualiga Road at the Little League Ball Park parking lot.

Please note that the Dutch St. Maarten Taxi Association and the Airport Taxi Association have a separate inspection procedure and members should contact their association president for more information.

All permit holders are requested to bring on the appointed date and time the following:

BUS and TAXI

  1. A legible copy of the permit (vergunning);
  2. A valid copy of the assistant driver or help driver permit;
  3. A valid copy of motor vehicle insurance with an expiration date no less than 3 weeks from the date of inspection;
  4. A valid copy of their driving license;
  5. A valid copy of their motor vehicle inspection card with an expiration date no less than 3 weeks from the day of inspection;

G and T

  1. A legible copy of the permit (vergunning);
  2. A valid copy of motor vehicle insurance with an expiration date no less than 3 weeks from the date of inspection;
  3. A valid copy of their motor vehicle inspection card with an expiration date no less than 3 weeks from the day of inspection;
  4. A list of the drivers approved by the permit holder to operate the motor vehicles with a valid copy of their driving license on company letterhead.

The aforementioned permit holders are strongly encouraged to request an appointment for the inspection by phone by calling: 542-4509, 542-4511 or 542-4519 alternatively visiting our office at Tamarindesteeg #16, Monday thru Friday, between 8:30AM-12.00PM to make an appointment.

Within two (2) working days after successfully passing the inspection the Certificate of Inspection will be issued.
