PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The House of Parliament will meet in a Central Committee meeting on November 23rd.

The Central Committee meeting is set for Monday at 10.00am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelmina Straat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda is a discussion with Julio Romney on a draft Election Ordinance amending legislation to correspond with the constitutional requirement of proportional representation in article 47 section 1 of the Constitution.

The second agenda point is approval of the composition of the delegation that will be traveling to the Dutch Public Entity Saba for Saba Day festivities on December 4th.

The third agenda point is a discussion on an inquiry from the Dutch Second Chamber if the Parliament of Sint Maarten intends to send special delegates to the Netherlands when the Dutch Parliament starts to handle several laws related to the Kingdom.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.

The parliamentary session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, via Pearl Radio FM 98.1, the audio via the Internet www.pearlfmradio.com and viawww.sxmparliament.org.
