The aforementioned are being taken as a precautionary measure for public safety.

Basd on information from MDS: due to the passing of a tropical wave, a small craft advisory (rough seas) is in effect until further notice along with a flash flood advisory (heavy rainfall), and a severe wind advisory (sustained winds above 34 knots/39 miles per hour with gusts above 50 knots/58 miles per hour).

An active tropical wave passing through the Lesser Antilles will continue to bring gusty winds and showers, some of which may be heavy with possible thunderstorms, to the local region today.

Motorists and residents in areas prone to flooding and falling rocks are advised to be vigilant and exercise caution as flash flooding is still possible.
